Bowled over - I'm a redneck woman

Well, I ain't never been the Barbie doll type
no, I can't swig that sweet Champagne,
I'd rather drink beer all night
in a tavern or in a honky tonk or on a four-wheel drive tailgate
I've got posters on my wall of Skynyrd, Kid and Strait
Some people look down on me, but I don't give a rip
I'll stand barefooted in my own front yard with a baby on my hip
'cause I'm a redneck woman
I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raising
I say, 'hey ya'll' and 'yee-haw'
and I keep my Christmas lights on, on my front porch all year long
and I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song
so here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country
let me get a big 'hell yeah' from the redneck girls like me,
hell yeah

Oh! It rained.

Fall is here, well almost. Up here in California, its still summer weather. From last year's recollection, the summer heat persists till the end of October. So where did the rain come ? I have not been following weather for a while, yeah! no major activities. Yesterday, it was cloudy and the weather outside was chill. It was a comfortable 70F inside home. I managed go outside yesterday around 10pm after all the visitors at home ... had to come back since I could not step out of the car, was in shorts. COLD! Had dreams all night, got up around 8am, it was getting cold inside too. And lo, it started raining. I'm one of the few people on earth who run into when it rains! I have a nice patio, stepped into the patio, got drenched. That was not enough, I pulled my car out, drove around the block to check who's outside. My complex, always looks deserted. Just saw a couple on the trail, but running from the rain. No cars or people. In about 20 minutes the rain gods moved east, sunshine was back and then new clouds moved in. It still chilly inside too 57F. Pondering what to do today ... more later.
