2006 Pirelli Calendar debuts in Paris

It’s that time of year again when famed tire manufacturer Pirelli releases its annual ultra-exclusive calendar that features not one shot of a rubber donut. Instead you get 12 months and more full of black and white photography of famous and not-so-famous hot chicks. This year’s bevy of beauties include Jennifer Lopez, Giselle Bundchen and Kate Moss, as well as four other not so well known hotties. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot shot the sixties-style photos on location in the French Riviera. This flipbook of skin is not available for sale to the general public, but rather handed out as party favors to friends of the company who then turn around and sell them on eBay.

This year also marks the debut of www.pirellical.com, a site devoted to the calendar where you can view all the pics as well as backstage videos if you register for Premium Access.

Top Ten Female Streakers - a curiously British phenomenon (that guy who streaked behind David Niven at the Oscars notwithstanding). While I was growing up, it seemed that almost every national sporting event in England was interrupted by a naked runner - usually a short ugly hairy man who proved to the crowd just how cold the weather actually was (see Seinfeld, shrinkage).

Off late, I seem to like the ads on TV. Not that I like it like it, its just that the ads are much better than whats shown on TV. The pickup line that seem to haunt is 'I don't even know enough that I know that I don't know'. I think this was an ad for a real estate or loan company!
